Curbside Brush Collection

Curbside brush collection is a year round service.

Location: Properties EAST of Main Street
Brush Collection Day:  FIRST MONDAY of each month

Location:  Properties WEST of Main Street
Brush Collection Day:  THIRD MONDAY of each month

Brush Removal Information:

  • Year-round, once a month schedule will allow for pruning of trees in winter, which is healthier for the trees in disease prevention.
  • Holiday Schedule:  If Brush Collection Day falls on a Holiday, Brush Removal will begin on the following day.
  • Any brush less than 2 feet in length should be either bundled or placed in a container.
  • Tree limbs and branches should be under 10 inches in diameter and can be no longer than 6 feet.  This is a strict requirement for collection.
  • Brush is to be placed neatly at the curb with the limbs parallel to the curb.
  • Brush will need to be at the curb by the collection day.  Residents will have four days prior to their scheduled collection day to place brush at the curb.
  • Do not pile brush in front of, on top of, or next to fire hydrants, light poles, cable or electrical pedestals, and trees.
  • Do not mix compost (grass clippings, leaves, weeds, roots, plants, flowers) with brush.
  • Residents do not need to call to make arrangements for brush collection.
  • Extreme weather events, such as heavy rain, winds, etc. will be cause for the Village to expand brush removal to address the aftermath of the storm.  This would be on a temporary basis as brush would be collected regardless of the regularly scheduled pick up dates.
  • Brush will be accepted at the Yard Waste Site during operating hours.
  • Christmas Trees are removed on the regular brush collection schedule and need all wiring or metal removed prior to placing at the curb.  Wreaths and garland will NOT be picked-up because metal and wiring cannot be put through the brush chipper.

Curbside Leaf Collection

The fall curbside leaf collection will begin October 14, 2024.

Curbside leaf collection will occur each week, alternating EAST of Main Street and WEST of Main Street, until there is a significant snowfall or the majority of the leaves have fallen. Residents should rake their leaves to the curb edge.

Curbside Leaf Collection Information:

  • Rake leaves to the curb-line edge.
  • Keep leaf piles out of the gutter and storm sewer drains.
  • Avoid piling leaves around mailboxes, street trees and poles.
  • Do not park vehicles near leaf piles that are raked curbside.
  • Do not mix branches or limbs within the leaves.
  • Leaves will not be picked up if they are in bags.
  • Leaves will be accepted at the Yard Waste Site during operating hours.
